Okay, I was enjoying this, thinking how sweet it was and how well you captured Sam's mannerisms, etc...
Then I got to THIS line:
The further down the line you go, the more you have to love to try again. - and the simple truth of that, and the implications it holds for Sam and Dean - how much Sam loves that even after everything that's happened between them, he's still holding on, still fighting for them, willing to "try again" - wow. That's an emotional gut punch I wasn't expecting and makes this more than just sweet, it's powerful.
