I am definitely for both options, Dean because he realised all Charlie wanted was for her mother to know she loved her and even though she will have known before the accident Charlie couldn't tell her and I think Dean wasn't ever going to take that chance again with Sam, so he stomped over, and he really stomped just grabbed him and let him know the Winchester way.
