There were so so many thingss about this one that made me so so happy!
So many great moments and actual worldbuilding for the boys' childhood again and so much awesome and Jensen's acting was so much better could tell there was a significant difference right away- apparently sleep works for him!
So much ic! this ep need so much fic!

I wanted Sam to be deaged too anmd for them to be stuck that way for another ep or two.

Jared was great too

and banter! Yess!!!!

Could do without the mysogyny, fatphobia and crazy people are gross, not to mention homeless people.


But apart from that it was SO AWESOME!!!!

This was the first episode I've watched live for a while, and I had a really good time! It felt a bit like an early season episode, with the fairy tale/urban legend monster and the brotherly banter. Dylan Everett is a really good young Dean. I'd love to see him paired up with Colin Ford for an episode, although the fact that he was so severely Dawson's cast here as a fourteen year old might make that weird (in RL he's 20 and Ford's 18, which would work pretty well for teenchesters).

I enjoyed watching Dean rock out to Taylor Swift, too. You just know he always wants to groove to pop music, but he's usually pretending he's too cool. I didn't buy for a second he'd use Phil Collins as a fake name, though.

Yeah, the banter was wonderful, and Dean being more lighthearted for some of the ep, and - sorry - Jensen being more genuine in the character - wonderful old episode glimpses. I was surprised Dean didn't hit on Tina stronger, for a moment, though he's probably not interested in that ATM.

I'd like to see the boys together too! I'm kinda glad he's not really 14, that made me worry a little....
They can just go ahead and cast him as - not 20, but older. Dean hasn't changed one bit in 10 years, pretty much!


Taylor Swift, - yeah! I like that his reactions have changed since early seasons, when he'd be more hysterical about hiding that. I like that now he smiles and has some acceptance and just - compassion for himself, even over things as small as this. I do miss younger Dean's drama queen manly bullshit :-))

BTW, this whole "tee bodies automatically love Taylor Swift" is so ridiculous. It got me thinking about trans* people who transition and suddenly re attracted to a different gender/sex. It could be for other reasons, but perhaps for some - and for Dean - it's cause it's suddenly allowed.
