If you could request more of a certain type of fic, which would it be?
There are all sorts of fics I like. I appreciate a new take on a well explored theme, interesting, intricate explorations of characters, and perhaps even more, of relationships, and if possible, of the world, though that is something I am less hungry for. And I adore recovery stories, stories about beng fucked up etc - when they are - truthful, gentle, respectful....?
But if I had to choose just one sort of fic to have more more more of - it would almost for sure be the classic Wincest (or gen! But if I am choosing one, then Wincest) sort: epic love, the other person is more important that literally everything else, the world is large, unknown, scary and interesting, the road trip vibe, music, banter, all the interesting things they encounter, pining, incest drama, all their isolation and ISSUES, so many lovely issues, and they ways they play of each other.... they actually finding something good in each other, worth the, well, hell they go through. I want more Coast on Through, Oh, it is Love, The One You'll Know By, and of course, my love, And I have Asked to Be Where No Storms Come
I would pay for well written present day Wincest with freaking out over incest. Yes, they went through hell, but they are still people and still influenced by this world....
Also, I so so so so want more RPF that is about characters and relationships, that is about characterization and that is thought through - preferably non-au
