So, a small meta thing about 11x02

You probably saw Carver's graceless reaction at ComiCon to fans having issue with Charlie being killed off - particularly form a social justice POV.

In 11x02, (written by Andrew Dabb, same person who wrote the ep Charlie died in), Show said - oh, you don't like that we killed off a woman who's attracted to other women? Here, have another one! 3-2-1-dead!

I can't believe this is a coincidence. It reminds me of that Teen Wolf show runner throwing around his power to remind fans "who's boss".

ETA: Sorry, not Dabb -he wrote the next episode, my mistake!

I see your point, but I also see it the opposite of the way you do. I like that we get a variety of characters, even though they die. I like that Jenna's sexuality didn't have to be a Big Deal; it was just something that kind of came up, but that it DID come up because of course it would eventually. I know some fans get upset because all the people of color die, or all the women die, or all the LGBT people die, but this is Supernatural. Everyone dies. So to me, it's kind of cool that we had those people at all. And I see a throwaway line about Jenna having a relationship with a woman as being inclusive, not weird. But I'm certainly not going to tell anyone their opinion is wrong. It's just different from my own opinion, as someone who has only lived the life of my own group. (BTW, as an overweight middle-aged woman, I'm still waiting for them to come up with a heroic overweight middle-aged woman...)

I would so, so much rather they didn't try to represen me. Give me a show about gorgeous white cis men and do it well. I hate many of the ways they try to represent me, and then they also kill the characters. No. No. It's gotten a bit better since Kripke left, but I'd like him back please, and no representation whatsoever. Actually, please just don't ahve any characters but Sam and Dean, that'll work fine.
