Welcome to the SPN Halloween themes prompt meme!
Bats, spells and broomsticks, costumes, campfire ghost stories, candy eating, costume stealing, ghoul pov, true horror and playful horror - this is the place!
Rules:
1) One prompt per message. Use the subject line to write a pairing or main character/s, and maybe a plot point, kink, etc. Prompt as many times as you like, it's fun!
2) All pairings, no pairings, RPF, go for it.
3) All sorts of fills, including double fills, anon fills etc, are very much welcome! Any form of fanwork is awesome! Sketches and drabbles are awesome! Please start the subject line of your fill with "FILL", so it's easier to find.
4) Please warn for triggers on the first line of your post. If you're not sure whether a warning is required - warn just in case.
5) NO SPOILERS AT ALL FOR UNAIRED EPISODES, not notions, not casting, not ANYTHING, please, please. If you want, you can post a very carefully unspoilery link, with spoiler warnings, to a spoilery fill or prompt on your journal.
6) You are cool people, you're gonna be kind, right?
7) If you're unsure about how this works, you can contact me privately, no problem
tl;dr: nothing remotely like a spoiler out in the open, trigger warnings, be kind, have fun.

FILLS:
the night before halloween is the real one to watch out for. what is rowena up to?
There's a legend, an urban myth, that if on Halloween you visit a particular place, at a particular time, with a special gift, you will be rewarded with a visit from a lost one, someone who died, but was never forgotten. Sam and/or Dean check it out.
Sam dances with a skeleton. Whose?
Sam dances with a skeleton. Whose? (second fill, inspired by the first, because you people are beautiful!)

Date: 2015-10-31 04:30 pm (UTC)There are not words to describe how much I love this. @____@ Like, ack ack ack everything, everything. Their dance, the press of their bodies against each other, her (extremely sexy) shoulders, and the classic romance of it all--with the superimposition of this neon, ineffable skeleton. There's just such incredible detail to each vertebrae and tooth and fingerbone; it's impossible to look away.
Brilliant, brilliant work. I LOVE THIS I LOVE THIS I LOVE THIS. <333333333

Date: 2015-10-31 04:59 pm (UTC)This is incredible. The romance of it as Kalliel said, dark as funeral roses, bit of whimsy.
It's Poe and roadhouses--dead girls and a guttering ghost-sign for a haunted hostel just across state lines in the land of the dead. Visual elegy for the day. First love. Sam's face (and yes, her beautiful shoulders.) How the boys always dance with ghosts(and skeletons), but your first ghost is the hardest. All here. So very SPN. Really wonderful.<3

Date: 2015-11-02 08:34 am (UTC)Hotel Arizona, Day of the Dead
These are your lost loves—
That’s what the sign says, a guttering
wreck-wing of place, just over the line
in the land of the dead, or Arizona,
whichever comes first, deserted; there’s a cult
Sam says, of the missing, the murdered,
and on this the day of tibias,
femurs, sixth ribs, this day of exes ringing
the old peals they’ll catch them again,
all their criminals, their yellow-orbed
blue-flamed backflash, set them to rights.
And dance. Dance?
Dean says on the downbeat,
cuts the engine quick for the names
of the departed, Sam says, spits sand
on the step for Mary for Charlie for Ellen for Jo
for Annabel Lee, for good measure
because you read, sometimes,
and Sammy
here at this roadhouse
of the damned
your first ghost
is still the one you catch
and two-step cross the fissured floor
without grief--
that phosphorescent heart
of hers in your hands.
