If you haven't seen the wank - good for you.
I've seen a bit, and I want to cry.
It's kinda magical that a person can take a stand against Destiel and criticize Dean for being a chauvinist right away. At least Dean is sexist in a charming way. Perhaps Jensen doesn't feel he needs to be charmingly homophobic, since he seems to deeply know he'll be agree with.

And yeah, fandom, parts of fandom being so supportive of this, are just - who are those people. What do they like in SPN, and how come so many of them are able to go to cons? ...
Of all the random people I've met who like SPN, I don't know of a single person who is anti-shipping, including the straight guys who don't ship, including the woman who said she preferred Sam cause Dean was too much of a fag for her.

Och. I recently watched an old episode of Project Runway, nd they were being pretty racist, in a way I hope wouldn't fly on TV today. I hope Jensen ever looks back at what he used to say with more perspective :/

I read what he said on tumblr and then decided never to go on tumblr again, because I don't want to feel this way. It feels like being personally insulted for who I am somehow - not a nice feeling. And to think people support what was said... - at least the con I was at there was nothing like this said and people cheered at every hint of pro-Destiel mentions heartily without exception: not a single annoyed utterance or noise to be heard! That made me so happy. I'm not sure how I'd have felt if I had been present at that Jensen panel. Depressed, probably.

I wrote a rant on canon etc on my LJ after reading hints of what Jensen said, but before knowing his exact words. Luckily, or I would have been too down to finish my post, I guess.

Of course it's a peronal insult...

It makes me worry about going to a con, if I am ever lucky enough to have the chance to do that. I haven't gone anywhere in years - to manage to somehow go and to experience something like that could be so - just - heartbreaking, devastating.

Like I said, at the con I was at last week (Birmingham, UK) was really pro-Destiel during the panels (from the crowd, I mean.). And last year in Frankfurt (Germany) it was the same. Interesting enough, most of the time when there's wank it seems to originate with something Jensen says :(

Shocking, when Jensen says phobic things and fans flock to his side people get into arguments? Who would have foreseen that.
